“Kids grow best when we meet them where they are at…”

…and we cannot meet kids where they are at, without your support!

Here is what to expect when your child begins therapy at Heal RI, LLC:

  • A mandatory caregiver component for all children under 16 years old. Therapy works best when it’s taken back into the home and community, and this can only happen with the support of parents and caregivers. This component will look different for every family, and your child’s therapist will discuss this with you as the treatment progresses.

  • Our job is to offer your child a safe place to engage in emotional development and gain insight into themselves and into the world around them. We are not here to reinforce the rules and consequences your child has at home, or to discipline your child. We can help resolve conflict, but our main concern is our rapport with our minor client.

  • We love to dedicate time to our clients and we wish there were more than 24 hours in a day! Unfortunately, there isn’t. If caregivers and parents are routinely requesting frequent extra phone or face time with their child’s therapist, charges may apply.

  • It is our duty to determine the frequency and duration of your child’s therapy. We will work with you on this and will always provide justification for our determination.

  • Please be respectful of a therapists time out of the office. Our therapists need time to care for their personal wellness if they are to provide optimal care for your child and family. Please speak with your child’s therapist if you need clarification of what constitutes as an emergency during non-business hours, and what you can expect from the therapist if an emergency is to occur.

  • Similarly, we ask you to keep in mind that much of our business hours are spent in sessions with clients. We will not be accessible during times where we are in session with clients.

  • Children learn through play, but do not worry! Even when your child is playing in the therapy office, our therapists are ensuring the play is clinically beneficial.
